Alice originally trained as an architect, before stepping into the social enterprise world as a Year Here fellow in 2019. As well as focusing on business development, Alice predominantly looks after design and production. She loves teaching in hostels when she gets the opportunity to do so. Alice has been listed as a WISE100 top women in social enterprise, and is a Shackleton Leader.

Jason was proudly number 2 on the Pivot payroll, after persuading Alice that he could make jewellery more efficiently using techniques discovered on YouTube. Having lived in temporary accommodation, Jason has a wealth of experience and expertise in working with people experiencing homelessness. He is an excellent teacher and is responsible for delivering workshops across hostels and for public events.

Bella joined us in 2022 as our brand guardian, ensuring we always look our best across all our marketing platforms. She is an excellent all-rounder as she heads up our wholesale, product development and brand photography too!

Alex joined Pivot in 2024, coming on board to help oversee and coordinate the delivery of our training programmes. Though Alex is primarily focussed on handling the operational side of things, he has a passion for frontline work and loves to get stuck in with facilitation of our workshops as much as possible too. 

Makbule graduated from our YMCA Spring Programme in 2021 and we proudly offered her a job in September 2021 to help us with our Christmas rush. Makbule has proven herself to be an excellent Maker and a wonderful teacher. Makbule is now assisting Jason with many of our public workshops, and in time will run these independently.

Vida is a behavioural change coach with over 6 years experience helping people think differently and transform lives. Having run rehabilitation programmes in prisons across the UK, as well as delivering an award-winning wellbeing programme for LEON restaurants, she enables people to create positive change and build a sustainable future for themselves, others, and the world. Vida specialises in the Generative Change coaching model.
